So, on my quest for a completely cruelty free life, i needed some new skincare products as a lot of my old favourites were by brands that test on animals! Thats when i came across Botanics! If i'm honest i came across this because i saw a big half price offer sign and was drawn in! and i'm so happy i was! I got all these products for just under £20!
They also do an organic range which i'm going to start slowly trying out some of the products (It's a little bit more expensive, as you would imagine! )
Micellar 3 in 1 Cleansing Solution
One of my favourite skincare products is micellar water, so when i found this brand i was happy to see they did one! Not only one, but they have a couple of options too, a calming one and a brightening one!
As for the micellar water itself, i love it! It removes my make-up perfectly and doesn't leave my skin irritated, big thumbs up!
Cleansing Toner All Bright
As toners go this is a lovely product, but if i'm honest i feel like it's a bit of an unnecessary step in my personal skin care routine. It doesn't take any left over make-up off, the micellar water does a perfect job! So i tried missing this step for a few days, and i didn't notice a difference, but if you love toner it's very gentle and leaves my skin feeling soft!
Purifying Face Scrub All Bright
This is one of my favourite products from the products i tried out, i have extremely easily irritated skin and i do struggle with scrubs, so i tend to just skip this skin care step. Now i have found this one i'm so happy to reintroduce it to my routine! It is very gentle on my skin, while still working wonders! My skin feels so soft after using it and looks bright and fresh!
Skin calming day cream SPF 15
I wasn't blown away by this product really, it did the job but if i'm honest i feel like there will be a better cruelty free moisturiser for me out there (maybe even in their organic range) Moisturiser is a very important step in my personal routine as i get very dry skin, so it may just be my picky skin, on the plus side it didn't irritate or break me out, so not too shabby!
Skin calming Night cream
I felt this did a little bit better than the day cream, but this could be all down the fact is had all night to sink in and work some magic, as with the day cream i apply make-up pretty soon after, i'm not sure! However my face did feel softer and soothed in the morning, but again i do feel their might be better ones out there!
Refreshing Eye Roll-on All Bright
I neeeeeeed this product at the moment as i am not sleeping anywhere near as much as i should be! I love how refreshing it feels, especially at the end of the day when you take out your contacts or just before bed after a long day! It definitely hydrates my under eyes, but the one thing i don't think it really does is help with dark circles, which is a shame but, there is always concealer for that!
Radiance Balm All Bright
This is my favourite out of all of them! I don't really use this as a skincare product, i mix it in with my foundation for a lovely brightening effect. It has a beautiful pearly sheen, don't let the pink in the bottle put you off, it doesn't give off a pink tone on your skin! A must have for dull autumn/winter skin!
Cleansing face wipes
For me, this was the most underwhelming product! It really struggled to remove all my mascara, which was such a shame as i had high hopes and i love the idea of them, but i'm not too worried as there a few cruelty free make-up wipes on the market for me to try!

hey lovelies!
Recently i've started yoga classes, it's something i've wanted to do for ages but felt so intimidated to actually go to a class, i've been doing the occasional youtube video, but finally i got over myself and just did it!
Baring in mind i couldn't walk for about four days after, i'm sooo glad i've started! It is slightly intimating being surrounded by people that are balancing on two hands, but as it is a self selecting group of people, everyone was so chilled!
also, as you can probably tell i've been experimenting with editing in photoshop for the last couple of posts! i've been really enjoying spicing my photos up a little and i hope you guys like them too!
Warpaint // Stars
'Just like the stars upon your ceiling that put you to sleep after...'
Even though is is probably my favourite song in the world and i listen to it all year round, for me there is no time more perfect to listen to it then on the cold autumn night, when bundled up in bed in fluffy blankets.
Ben Howard // Promise
'Winter shall howl at the walls, tearing down door of time..'
Any Ben Howard song, any day, and i am a very happy zoe! but recently i've been obsessed with promise from Every Kingdom, it's so mellow and relaxing and perfect to snuggle up to. One of my favourite things about thing song is the rain and wind you can hear in the background throughout the song...perfect.
Lauren Aquilina // Ocean
'I lost my head, somewhere between the surface and the seabed...'
I adore this girl and everything she releases, she (like ben howard) just seems to have this beautiful poetic way with words combined with nostalgic, gentle, melodic music. There is something so special about this one, if i close my eyes i can imagine myself standing on the beach, or swimming in a cove.
Rhodes & Birdy // Let It All Go
'There's a light on the road and i think you, morning has come and i have to go..'
Most of the songs i've featured are ones i've been listening to for a while because once i find songs i love i will just listen to them over and over, i find it so comforting! However this is a new one i recently discovered, sometimes it feels so therapeutic to listen to a sad song (especially when it has hope too)
Jeff Buckley // Mojo Pin
I'm lying in my bed, the blanket is warm, this body will never be safe from harm..'
i adore this man, and i'm so sad he's no longer with us and we'll never know what would of come next from him, but this is my favourite song by him, i'm not sure why but the lyrics make me think of a dream, but it feels so ...'cosy' if that makes any sense...
Hailey Gardiner // The woods
'Under the darkness of the trees we'll lay, chasing all the light when all the worlds awake..'
If you are anything like me, and you spend a lot of time daydreaming about the world (woodland, waterfalls, coast etc..) You must give this song a listen, she beautifully captures the essence of the woods with the beautiful melody and lyrics, it's become one of my favourite songs ever, it always helps pick me up on a bad day.

hey lovelies!
so this is going to sound so strange as i've been living in my new house since May....but i've recently found a little space at the bottom of my garden behind a load of trees and bushes.
I knew it was there but i hadn't really ventured down there because all you can see from the house is stuff left there by builders.
But i've recently found it's the cutest little space!
I don't know if i'm alone in this but overgrown 'secret' gardens are one of the most beautiful things and one of my most favourite things in this world. Maybe to everyone else it is an overgrown forgotten mess but i adore it so much. So as you can imagine i'm slightly thrilled to have found my own little, not overlooked space down there.
